The 2017 Festival of Motoring sponsored by Listers will be held over the early May Bank Holiday Weekend as usual. The 2017 Festival will follow the same successful formula as the past 4 years with an organised run out into the countryside on both the Sunday and Monday morning with about 300 cars returning to park up from 930 in the town centre streets which will be closed to normal traffic. The festival is free for spectators.
The festival's featured marque or theme is jaguars our local car manufacturer, with over 30 jaguars booked for display on Wood Street. This will include presigious cars from the British Motor Museum and Coventry Transport Museum. High performance sports cars will take a prominent position on Henley Street, and classic British cars on Bridge Street, then much more on Sheep Street and High Street.
The family area in Rother Street includes remote controlled Jaguars on a brand new track, Stratford College automotive interactive display, bouncy castle and go carts.
Though Jaguar is the festival's featured marque but all other cars are welcome as usual. (Jags will fill Wood Street and overflow onto High Street ) This will only account for about 1/7th of the festival's parking. ) All welcome!
